Rumor: PSP2 nel 2010 e giochi già in sviluppo?

Dopo la notizia che nessuna PSP2 è in costruzione, ecco giungere dalla Gran Bretagna, precisamente dal Official PlayStation Magazine UK, nuove informazioni riguardo il prossimo sistema portatile targato Sony.

Girano voci infatti che alcuni sviluppatori siano già impegnati nello sviluppo di titoli di giochi destinati alla PSP2, la sucessitrice della PSP. Stando sempre a quanto dice la rivista, pare che la nuova console dovrebbe raggiungere il mercato nel 2010.

Tali informazioni ovviamente non sono state confermate ne tanto meno rese ufficiali.
Non mi resta che tenervi informati su questo nuovo rumor.

Annunciato Dragon Ball Evolution

Namco-Bandai Games e 20th century Fox hanno annunciato l'uscita di Dragon Ball Evolution su PSP.
Questo nuovo titolo accompagnerà l'uscita dell'omonimo film attesa per Aprile 2009.

Rilasciato il CF 5.00 M33-5 -- *UPDATE: 5.00 M33-6

Dopo il rilascio del firmware ufficiale 5.03 da parte di Sony, ecco che torna Dark_Alex con un aggiornamento per il suo Custom Frmware 5.00 M33; si passa alla versione 5.00 M33-5.

Dark_Alex spiega che con questo aggiornamento prova ad incrementare la velocità delle memory stick, che dal firmware 3.80 risulta piuttosto lento.

*UPDATE: A poche ore dal rilascio del CF 5.00 M33 Dark_Alex ha corretto un bug che non permetteva l'avvio della PSP senza un memorystick. In fondo il download del cf 5.00 M33-6.

Rilasciato Gripshift Binary Loader EUR

Il team PSPGen ha rilasciato l'attesissimo GripShift Binary Loader EUR (versione di SDK Sparta modificata in modo da renderla compatibile con la versione di GripShift europea).

Nell'archivio è disponibile anche una copia dell'homebrew "GripShift Pong" di Dracula 92 per testare il funzionamento del nuovo SDK con una copia europea di Gripshift.

Rilasciato Firmware 5.03

E' stata da poco rilasciata una nuova versione firmware: in particolare la 5.03.

Sony ha spiegato il motivo del rilascio:

Piccolo aggiornamento che migliora la stabilità del sistema durante l’uso di alcune funzioni..

..ma molto probabilmente questa nuova versione patcherà l'exploit del gioco Gripshift a cui si sta lavorando per rendere possibile l'hack delle PSP3000 e delle PSP2000 montanti scheda madre TA-088 V3.

Custom Firmware su PSP3000!!

I migliori coder del sito PSPGen, Miriam e Bubbletune, hanno passato gli ultimi giorni a lavorare sull'exploit per la versione europea del gioco Gripshift riuscendo ad emulare un particolare custom firmware, in particolare il 5.02HEN-A, facendo caricare i files del firmware da una Memory Stick.

Il team tiene a sottolineare che ciò che si vede nel video non è un Custom Firmware, ma consente di avviare su PSP3000:

• homebrews (modalità kernel o modalità utente), e
• giochi in formato ISO
